Welcome to Your Highland Retreat

The quiet tranquillity throughout the hotel is created by the relaxing comforts of our furnishings and lighting to suit every occasion.

In the elegant, spacious lounge and reception areas the aroma of log fires wafts around the twinkling chandeliers. The atmosphere is perhaps best described by one recent guest -

Grand sinky-in sofas,
Gold draped panes,
High white ceilings
And lots of picture frames,
Huge wall mirrored,
Above the logs a-flaring
Cosy groups are cushioned round,
And low-voiced thoughts are sharing,
Baronially built for therapy
Now richly decored for guests,
A welcoming dram of Glayva,
Atholl Palace at its best

An early brood of ducklings came….and went. They look so vunerable in their first few days out of the egg, almost like thistledown drifting across the water, and they are with all manner of things ready and waiting to eat them. However other females are still sitting and, with luck, the later broods will make it over these first few days and provide a spectacle on the ponds and lawns this summer.
