Pitlochry and Highland PerthshireOf course you can spend many hours enjoying our museum, exploring the estate, playing tennis or Pitch'n'Putt, swimming and having treatments in the Spa, but Pitlochry has so many things you really should see and do while you're here. Pitlochry is positioned in the centre of Scotland, just above the meeting of the Tay and Tummel Valleys. The Great North Road, which
the Highland crofters used to bring their cattle and sheep to the markets of Einburgh, ran through Pitlochry,
as did the 'Road to the Isles', which still forms part of the road out of Pitlochry to the north. General Wades military roads, built in an attempt to
control the rebellious Scots, are scattered around Highland Perthshire.
If you are also planning a visit to Ireland the Castle Hotel Group in Dublin City Centre offer comfortable Georgian hotel accommodation.

An early brood of ducklings came….and went. They look so vunerable in their first few days out of the egg, almost like thistledown drifting across the water, and they are with all manner of things ready and waiting to eat them. However other females are still sitting and, with luck, the later broods will make it over these first few days and provide a spectacle on the ponds and lawns this summer.
